Just a small number of thingsthat have us excited these days.
Tribune Sells VideoBridge
December 8, 2009
We've teamed up with Tribune Media Services to distribute VideoBridge, our own spiffy technology that creates personal and customized video messages. While we're pitching the product to a variety of verticals, TMS is our exclusive sales agent for North American cable television companies.
Managing Director of TMS Marketing Services Richard Hill thinks our product is a good fit for their cable operators, saying, "This dynamic direct marketing tool will help... reach their audience in ways they never could before." (Seriously, who doesn't love all things dynamic?)
Check out our product at videobridge.ca. And/or read the full news release here.
We've Been Profiled
December 3, 2009
This summer, New Media Manitoba put out a call to profile eight new media Manitoba companies then showcase the video clips in Winnipeg and beyond.
Thanks to New Media Manitoba for selecting us as one of the eight and kudos to Lisanne and James from BlinkWorks Media for a fun shoot and fantastic film. (Our Creative Director was a little afraid of the camera, but — hey — he survived.)
When the 4-minute video premiered last night at the IMAX, our jaws dropped at the finished product. Not because our company looked 10 pounds heavier... but because NMM and Blink-Works outdid themselves. Check it out on Vimeo... we think you'll agree.
Visit the Island!
November 18, 2009
Imagine a child who's a victim of child abuse and facing the nightmare of testifying in a courtroom. All they want is to close their eyes and wish that some big giant fairy would swoop in and say, "I'm here to help; let's relax and get through this together." Turns out, there is such a fairy... she's called "CSICA" (pronounced sick-kah). For close to 20 years, Canadian Society for the Investigation of Child Abuse has been committed to supporting those involved in the investigation of child abuse.
We're helping develop interactive and informative tools to build their brand and engage with victims, their families and witnesses. The first piece is SuperHero Island, an interactive island that focuses on fun games and educational elements such as memory, relaxation techniques and the rules of the court room. As children progress through the island, the process of testifying becomes better understood and less threatening. Visit the island!

The Kings Head Goes Live
October, 2009
Nothing much beats the Kings Head Pub & Eatery for live entertainment, the friendliest staff in town and an authentic English pub experience.
We were thrilled when they turned to us for leadership on a new website and set out to create an interactive experience based on the atmosphere and décor of the actual pub. This month their new site went live — check it out at www.kingshead.ca.
This effort took the research resources of the entire Mars Hill team. We worked until the wee hours of the night making sure we fully understood our client's unique offerings. All that beer. All that food. Work, work, work.
Our offices are so close to their space that now we keep on going there for — ummm — post-launch research. Let's just say we highly recommend this destination pub in the heart of Winnipeg's Exchange District.
